Lotus means a lot to Buddhists. It represents how every one of us should live. The lotus brings beautiful flowers from muddy waters. And I happened to take one of the best shots of lotus flowers today. There were two big ponds along a street near the old city of Gyeong-Ju that were full of lotus flowers.
Our ultimate goal in life is to reach enlightenment. One can only reach enlightenment while in human form. Human life is the most valuable entity one can possess and should always be taken care of and best use of it. If we are unable to achieve enlightenment in this life, at least we should try to lessen the effect of our bad karma by building good karma in order to be rebirth as human beings with optimal quality and condition to reach enlightenment during the next lifetime. - 和田 林承奎 Edward Rim
